Bonds & government paper
Compare instruments within their own category. All entries are fictional examples; yields are illustrative annualized figures.
Understand the comparison
Treasury bills show a simple annualized investment yield on a 365-day basis. Bonds show an illustrative yield to maturity (YTM), distinct from the coupon. These are different conventions and are not directly equivalent. YTM assumes contractual payments occur and the instrument is held to maturity; realized returns can differ. Price, accrued interest, fees, taxes, default, currency movements, and reinvestment conditions matter.
No credit ratings or safety rankings are invented. Government debt is not risk-free; corporate bonds require issuer, security, seniority, covenant, and liquidity review. No auction or purchase is available here.
Money market funds
Compare yield definitions, expenses, access to cash, and fund evidence. Fictional KES-denominated examples only.
A yield is not a guarantee
MMFs pool investments in short-term instruments. Their returns vary and capital can be at risk. Displayed yields must state the measurement period, annualization method, and whether fees and tax are included. The demo uses the same fictional 7-day simple annualized net-of-management-fee, pre-tax convention for all funds. It does not represent a forecast or compare directly to bond YTM.
Production diligence will verify manager authorization, trustee and custodian, fund factsheets, underlying holdings, credit quality, liquidity, all expenses, and redemption conditions. MMFs are not bank deposits.
Other vehicles
ETFs, REITs, equity funds, and balanced funds can follow as separate modules with their own measures. They are not yet connected or ranked.

How this prototype ranks
Each fictional security has five factor inputs: dividend quality, growth, value, financial quality, and momentum. A strategy selects a different set of weights. The total is the weighted average; ties are sorted by company name. Change weights under Custom to inspect the effect. These factor inputs are illustrative, not calculated from real financial statements.
What a score means
A relative research score is not a probability of profit or an expected return. The prototype has no validated performance history. Production rankings will require point-in-time data, sector-specific formulas, and testing inclusive of costs and delisted securities.
Source policy
Every production metric should retain its original document or provider, reporting period, retrieval time, currency, and calculation lineage. AI interpretation will be separate from reported facts. Conflicting or missing evidence must be flagged.
Performance evidence
No returns are claimed. Historical tests, forward-tracked models, and actual account results will be reported separately when implemented.
A focused start. An expandable foundation.
